Role Split: 50% Administration / 50% Van Driving & Deliveries (local drops)

We are currently recruiting for a Delivery & Administration Assistant on behalf of an established business based in Tipton.

This is a varied role, split approximately 50% between administration and 50% van driving/deliveries. You will play an important part in ensuring customer orders are processed accurately, prepared for delivery and delivered safely and efficiently.

The delivery side of the role will primarily involve local customer drops, generally within around one hour of the Tipton site.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders safely and professionally to local customers.
• Pick and prepare your own goods for each delivery route.
• Load and unload the vehicle safely, including handling some heavier items.
• Plan and organise your delivery route effectively.
• Process your own delivery notes and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
• Process customer orders when required.
• Check orders and delivery paperwork for accuracy.
• Liaise with customers and colleagues regarding orders and deliveries.
• Report any discrepancies, damages or delivery issues promptly.
• Assist with general administration and warehouse duties as required.
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.

About You

The ideal candidate will be reliable, organised and hands-on, with the ability to confidently balance administrative responsibilities with driving and delivery duties.

You will ideally have:

• A full UK driving licence.
• Previous experience in van driving, deliveries, warehouse or logistics would be beneficial.
• Good administrative and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good computer skills and confidence using IT systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to lift and handle heavier goods safely.
• A professional and friendly manner.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• A flexible and proactive approach to your work.
