Area Sales Manager – Plumbing Products
Area: Midlands

The Role of Area Sales Manager

• Field based position with a leading manufacturer of well established plumbing products
• Generate demand, identify and develop new business opportunities, gain product specifications and provide customers with excellent product and project support
• Sell products through commercial plumbing and heating merchants, managing and strengthening existing relationships
• Work exclusively on commercial projects across large commercial buildings
• Introduce innovative, energy efficient products to the market that provide cost effective solutions and help customers reduce their carbon footprint
• Develop and maintain relationships across a wide customer base including national and independent merchants, distributors, buying groups, installers, contractors, specifiers, developers and social housing providers
• Generate demand, identify new business opportunities and gain product specifications while delivering strong product and project support to customers
• Identify and win new business opportunities across national and independent merchants, buying groups, distribution, installers, contractors, specifiers, developers and social housing providers

The Candidate for the Area Sales Manager role

• Experience within plumbing, merchants, building products, construction or heating
• Ability to understand customer requirements, handle objections and clearly communicate product features, advantages and benefits
• Confidence in delivering product and project support to customers
• Strong relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organisational and territory management skills
• Ability to recognise opportunities, solve problems and take ownership of actions

The Package on offer for the Area Sales Manager

• Basic salary up to £48,000
• 20% bonus
