Job Description:

A Steel / Assembly Operative is required for a growing manufacturing company in the Wolverhampton area. You will be responsible for loading steel coil onto a machine, operating the equipment to produce steel framing, and then assembling the finished frames using basic instructions and a variety of hand and power tools.

The duties of the role include;

• Loading steel coil onto a decoiler
• Operating machinery to produce steel framing
• Bundling and preparing steel frames for assembly
• Fixing and assembling steel framing on large jigs
• Using air tools and power tools
• Following basic instructions to complete assemblies

Previous steel framing or roll-forming experience would be beneficial, although full training on the machinery will be provided. The role would suit someone with a practical mindset who enjoys working with their hands and has an interest in mechanical work or DIY.

A Counterbalance FLT licence would be beneficial but is not essential.

This is a permanent position with a growing start-up business, offering the opportunity to join a small team and develop with the company.

The role is -

• 7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday
• 5 hours per week
• £13.50 per hour
• Permanent position
