Children Lead Supervisor

Nationwide Care Services is dedicated to supporting individuals by delivering person-centred, outcome-based care that emphasises quality, reliability, and flexibility. You will be working in our office, 40 hours a week, 09:00am – 5:30pm, 1 hour break. Salary depending on experience: £26,436.80 – £27,500 per annum subject to probation period.

Additionally, you will be entitled to annual leave, pension and training and development.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Children Lead Supervisor to oversee and coordinate our children’s care packages. The packages offer areas including Erdington, Birmingham, Solihull and Chelmsley areas.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for child development, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support services. As Children Lead Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for children.

Additionally with the above, you will be working very closely with our Supported Living department, Ninfield Gardens, whilst building strong reports with commissioning teams and Children Trust.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual children's needs, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and quality assurance criteria.
• Monitor daily operations to maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and child welfare across all activities.
• Conduct regular assessments of staff performance and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with families, external agencies, and stakeholders to coordinate care efforts and ensure consistent communication.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to childcare services.
• Promote a positive team environment that encourages professional growth, teamwork, and open communication.

Experience:

• Proven experience in supervising childcare or youth support services with a focus on quality assurance practices.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and safeguarding procedures.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills for engaging with children, families, staff, and external partners.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards governing childcare services is essential.
• Previous experience in implementing quality assurance measures within a childcare setting is highly desirable.
