Children's Registered Manager – Multiple Locations

Locations: Birmingham, Derby, Leicester, Stoke-on-Trent & Nottingham
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Diamond Search Recruitment are currently recruiting for multiple Children's Registered Manager opportunities across the Midlands, including Birmingham, Derby, Leicester, Stoke-on-Trent and Nottingham.

We are working with a range of established and growing children's residential care providers who are looking for experienced, committed and ambitious Registered Managers to lead children's residential homes and ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding and compliance.

The Role

As a Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the effective management of a children's residential home, ensuring children and young people receive safe, nurturing and high-quality care.

Depending on the specific vacancy, responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day-to-day operation of a children's residential home.

• Ensuring the home provides a safe, stable and nurturing environment.

• Leading, motivating and developing a team of residential childcare professionals.

• Ensuring children's individual needs, care plans and risk assessments are effectively implemented.

• Promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.

• Maintaining strong safeguarding practices and ensuring the welfare of children remains the priority.

• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company policies.

• Preparing for and managing Ofsted inspections and regulatory requirements.

• Maintaining high standards of care, recording, reporting and documentation.

• Working effectively with social workers, local authorities, families and other professionals.

• Managing recruitment, supervision, training and performance within the home.

• Monitoring budgets, resources and operational performance where required.

• Driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards across the service.

About You

We are interested in hearing from experienced Children's Registered Managers, as well as strong Deputy Managers who are ready to take their next career step.

You will have:

• Previous management experience within children's residential care.

• Experience supporting children and young people with a range of needs.

• A strong understanding of safeguarding and children's residential care regulations.

• Experience leading and developing a care team.

• Strong knowledge of care planning, risk management and safeguarding procedures.

• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

• The ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, professionals and external stakeholders.

• A strong understanding of Ofsted expectations and regulatory standards.

• A professional, resilient and solution-focused approach.

• Relevant qualifications within children's residential childcare.

• A commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent is highly desirable and essential for some vacancies.

Salary & Benefits

Salaries are typically in the region of:

£45,000 – £60,000 per annum
