Client Account Manager – Technology

Birmingham | Hybrid - 2 to 3 days in office

We are recruiting an experienced Client Account Manager for a growing technology business.

This is a genuinely end-to-end account management role. You will take ownership of clients from the point of onboarding, manage the implementation and transition into service, and remain accountable for the relationship through ongoing delivery, renewal and growth.

This is not a Customer Success role where established accounts are handed over after onboarding. Candidates must have personally managed the complete client lifecycle within a technology, software or technology-enabled business.

You will:

• Lead the onboarding and implementation of new clients.
• Establish relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
• Create and deliver client account and stakeholder management plans.
• Manage clients through the transition from implementation into business-as-usual service.
• Lead monthly service reviews and quarterly steering-group meetings.
• Monitor service delivery against contractual SLAs and client expectations.
• Measure client satisfaction and lead annual review processes.
• Manage escalated concerns and coordinate internal resolution.
• Use reporting and analytics to identify risks and areas for improvement.
• Manage renewals, retention and account growth.
• Develop opportunity pipelines in partnership with clients.
• Act as the voice of the client across Sales, Product and Operations.
• Deliver account revenue in line with agreed budgets.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• End-to-end ownership of client accounts, beginning with onboarding and implementation.
• Account management experience within technology, software or a technology-enabled service.
• Experience managing ongoing service delivery, reviews, renewals and retention.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify account-growth opportunities.
• Confidence managing senior client stakeholders and challenging conversations.
• The ability to coordinate multiple internal teams on behalf of the client.
• Strong organisation across a portfolio of accounts.
• Experience using HubSpot or another CRM platform.

This role will particularly suit someone who enjoys building a relationship from the very beginning and remaining accountable for its long-term commercial success.
