Job Description:

CNC Operator (Milling or Turning)

Role Type: Full time, permanent
Location: Redditch
Salary: £15 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (7am until 4pm) and Friday (7am until 12pm)

Role Overview

The company is a subcontract-machining specialist that supplies CNC turned parts, sub-assemblies, and precision-engineered components. The company utilizes advanced CNC machinery, including multi-axis milling machines, sliding-head and fixed-head lathes, alongside conventional multi-spindle equipment. They were founded in 1986 and have a strong order book.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines or CNC lathes.
• Manufacture components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
• Ensure all work meets company quality procedures and standards
• Perform routine preventative and general machine maintenance checks
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all HSE regulations
• Support housekeeping standards and follow 5S practices
   

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Previous experience operating CNC machinery.
• Understanding of geometrical tolerances (desired).
• High attention to detail and quality-focused approach
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Strong team player with a proactive, “can-do” attitude
