A highly established motorsport engineering business is looking to strengthen its manufacturing team with a highly experienced CNC Turner Setter Operator.

As a CNC Turner Setter Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC turning machinery to produce precision components to exacting standards.

Mazak controls experience is essential.

This is not a role for someone with limited CNC experience. We are looking for a highly experienced CNC Turner who is confident setting Mazak-controlled machines, interpreting drawings, making adjustments and producing complex components to tight tolerances.

You will work as part of a skilled engineering team where quality is paramount and your machining experience will be genuinely valued.

• Setting and operating CNC turning machines with Mazak controls.
• Producing high-precision components for the motorsport sector.
• Working to extremely tight tolerances and demanding specifications.
• Setting tooling, workholding, offsets and machine parameters.
• Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings.
• Proving and adjusting programmes where required.
• Making accurate tool and offset adjustments during production.
• Monitoring tool wear and machining performance.
• Carrying out first-off and in-process inspection.
• Using a range of precision measuring equipment.
• Identifying and resolving machining or quality issues.
• Working with a variety of materials and technically demanding components.
• Maintaining consistently high standards of quality.
• Working efficiently while ensuring accuracy is never compromised.

We are looking for a very experienced CNC Turner Setter Operator who is confident working in a high-precision engineering environment.

You must have:

• Mazak CNC controls experience - essential.
• Extensive CNC turning experience.
• Strong CNC setting and operating experience.
• Experience working to tight tolerances.
• The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, workholding, offsets and cutting parameters.
• Experience making machine adjustments and resolving machining issues.
• Experience inspecting components using precision measuring equipment.
• A strong understanding of CNC turning processes.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• A genuine passion for precision machining.
• Experience within motorsport, aerospace, F1, automotive or another high-precision engineering environment would be highly advantageous.
