Job Description:

Sales Director/ Commercial Director/ Business Development Director required to join a leading power solutions provider. The successful Sales Director/ Commercial Director/ Business Development Director will join an established power generation and critical infrastructure business, taking responsibility for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic customer relationships across the EMEA data centre sector.

The Sales Director/ Commercial Director/ Business Development Director will lead the regional sales strategy for power generation solutions supporting hyperscale data centres, colocation providers, enterprise data centres, and critical infrastructure customers. Working closely with engineering, product, finance, legal, and operational teams, the successful candidate will develop and execute commercial strategies that deliver complex power solutions, strengthen customer partnerships, and increase market share across EMEA.

Sales Director/ Commercial Director/ Business Development Director Role:

• Develop and execute the EMEA sales strategy for power generation solutions supporting the data centre market.
• Identify, develop, and close high-value opportunities with hyperscalers, colocation providers, enterprise data centres, EPCs, and critical infrastructure customers.
• Own the full sales lifecycle, including opportunity qualification, technical-commercial proposals, negotiations, contract execution, and customer handover.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives, facilities leaders, energy managers, procurement teams, and technical decision-makers.
• Develop territory and account plans focused on strategic customers and long-term revenue growth.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, proposals, finance, and legal teams to deliver competitive technical and commercial solutions.
• Manage sales forecasting, pipeline development, CRM reporting, and regional performance metrics.
• Develop go-to-market strategies across EMEA through direct sales, distributors, system integrators, and OEM partnerships.
• Support the development and growth of sales resources and channel partners across the region.
• Represent the business at industry events, customer forums, and data centre conferences.
• Provide market feedback to support product development and future business strategy.
• Based in the UK with travel across EMEA (up to 30%).

Sales Director/ Commercial Director/ Business Development Director requirements:

• 10+ years of sales experience within data centres, mission-critical power, energy infrastructure, or related industries.
• Proven track record selling into the data centre market, including hyperscalers, colocation providers, enterprise customers, or critical infrastructure operators.
• 5+ years’ experience in senior sales, strategic account management, or commercial leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of data centre power infrastructure, including generators, UPS systems, battery/storage integration, energy management, and related technologies.
• Demonstrated success selling complex, high-value capital equipment and long-term service solutions.
• Experience managing enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and technical decision-makers.
• Established network of senior contacts across data centre operators, EPCs, system integrators, and channel partners throughout EMEA.
• Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing sales forecasting, pipeline strategy, CRM systems, and revenue targets.
• Engineering, Business, or related degree preferred.
• Based in the UK with the ability to travel internationally across EMEA.
