The Role: What You’ll Be Doing

As a Self-Employed Sales Agent working with the Head of Direct Sales, you will own and grow your own customer portfolio across your target region. Sales can be developed through a combination of face-to-face meetings, telesales and video meetings, giving you flexibility in how you build and manage your customer base.

• Drive New Business: Proactively prospect and win a portfolio of commercial and industrial accounts.
• Customer Relationships: Build long-term, high-value relationships by delivering product demonstrations, providing customer training and identifying new cross-selling opportunities.
• Maximise Profitability: Implement smart sales strategies to hit and exceed your monthly sales revenue targets.
• Representation: Provide a professional approach to ensure Zep’s high standards are maintained.
• Identify Customer Needs: Propose suitable Zep solutions.
• Develop, Manage & Retain: Build a portfolio of professional clients capable of generating valuable recurring business.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking hands-on, consultative sales professionals with a “get-it-done” attitude and a passion for winning business.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a field sales or sales agent role with a proven track record of winning new business.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
• A valid UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience in winning and managing B2B accounts within the industrial/institutional sector.
• Existing experience or knowledge of the UK chemical market.
• An established portfolio of B2B contacts across your target region.
• The ability to build customer loyalty through strong, trusting relationships.
