Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking an experienced FM Vendor Manager to oversee a portfolio of facilities management service providers and subcontractors across multiple sites.

Job Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring suppliers consistently deliver safe, compliant, cost-effective and customer-focused services while meeting contractual obligations and governance requirements. The successful candidate will manage supplier performance across a range of Hard FM services, maintaining high standards of operational delivery and compliance.

The position requires a commercially aware and proactive professional with strong Hard FM experience who can build effective supplier relationships, resolve operational challenges and drive continuous improvement. You will play a key role in monitoring service levels, addressing performance issues and ensuring work is processed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the performance, compliance and governance of multiple FM subcontractors and service providers.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to support effective service delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations, service levels and operational requirements.
• Investigate and resolve service delivery bottlenecks, technical issues and payment-related challenges.
• Ensure work orders are processed correctly through helpdesk systems and that accurate feedback is received from subcontractors.
• Drive consistency, quality and continuous improvement across Hard FM services and specialist compliance activities.
• Identify and manage operational risks, ensuring safety, compliance and governance requirements are met.
• Produce performance analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making and supplier accountability.

Person Specification

• Essential FM experience with a strong understanding of Hard FM services.
• Proven experience managing outsourced FM service providers, subcontractors and complex supply chains.
• Strong commercial awareness and contract management capability.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to improve supplier performance and deliver successful outcomes.
• Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience managing compliance, governance and risk requirements.
• Customer-focused approach with strong client relationship management experience.
• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent professional experience in Facilities Management, Business Management or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of procurement and supply chain management principles.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
