Freelance Business Development Manager - Commercial Fit-Outs

Location: UK Wide (Midlands Office Base with National Travel)
Contract: Freelance / Self-Employed
 

The Opportunity

Our client is an established commercial fit-out contractor delivering high-quality refurbishment and interior fit-out projects across the UK. Due to a strong pipeline of work and ambitious growth plans, they are seeking an experienced Freelance Business Development Manager to identify new opportunities, develop key industry relationships, and help secure future projects.

This role is ideally suited to an individual with an established network within the fit-out, interiors, and construction sectors who can open doors and generate new business opportunities with end users, consultants, project managers, developers, and main contractors.

Responsibilities

• Identify and generate new commercial fit-out opportunities across the UK.
• Develop relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Introduce the business to prospective clients and secure tender opportunities.
• Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry functions.
• Maintain and grow a strong pipeline of potential projects.
• Work closely with the pre-construction team to support bids and proposals.
• Track market activity and identify upcoming projects.
• Help drive the company's growth within target sectors.

Requirements

• Proven business development experience within commercial fit-outs, interiors, refurbishment, or construction.
• Strong network of contacts within the construction industry.
• Demonstrable track record of winning new business.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Ability to travel nationwide as required.
