£36,000 - £37,000 per annum (DOE)
Company Van + Fuel Card
Monday to Friday | 08:00 - 17:00 plus Call-Out Requirement with additional payment for call out

Working on behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Gas Safe Registered Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to join a well-established social housing maintenance team covering Birmingham, Oldbury, and surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a stable, permanent position within the social housing sector, carrying out gas servicing, repairs, and breakdown maintenance in occupied residential properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out landlord gas safety inspections (CP12s)
• Servicing domestic gas boilers and heating systems
• Diagnosing and repairing boiler and heating breakdowns
• Fault finding and resolving gas-related issues
• Completing repairs safely and efficiently to a high standard
• Providing excellent customer service when working in tenants' homes
• Ensuring all work complies with current Gas Safe and health & safety regulations

Requirements

• Current Gas Safe Registration
• ACS qualifications including CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 and HTR1
• Previous experience in gas servicing and breakdowns
• Experience working within social housing or domestic maintenance environments preferred
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Professional and customer-focused approach

Call-Out Requirement

This role includes participation in a compulsory out-of-hours emergency call-out rota, operating on a one week on, one week off basis, responding to urgent heating and gas-related emergencies when required. (additional payment for call out)
