TXP is entering a significant growth phase. As our Application Modernisation practice continues to expand, we're looking for a Head of Engineering to lead and evolve our software engineering capability, driving engineering excellence across people, delivery, technology and innovation.

As a Head of Engineering, you will embody these values in your decision-making, stakeholder interactions and contribution to a high-performing engineering operation. 
 
Reporting to the Head of Application Modernisation, you'll be responsible for defining and driving TXP's engineering strategy whilst leading the continued growth of our engineering capability.

You'll work closely with leaders across Architecture, Delivery, Testing, Data & AI and Commercial teams to:

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering community.
• Establish and embed engineering standards, governance and best practice.
• Champion modern software engineering, cloud-native development, DevOps and AI-assisted delivery.
• Drive quality, consistency and delivery excellence across client engagements.
• Develop future engineering leaders and strengthen capability across the business.
• Play a key role in strategic bids, client engagements and proposition development.

This role is about more than managing teams. You'll help shape how TXP engineers deliver, innovate and grow as we continue to scale our Application Modernisation practice.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for an established Engineering Leader who brings:

• Experience leading software engineering teams at scale within a consultancy, technology services or professional services environment.
• A strong track record of building, mentoring and developing engineering leaders and high-performing teams.
• Deep understanding of modern software engineering practices including cloud technologies, DevOps, automation and secure software delivery.
• Experience delivering complex software solutions across multiple customers, programmes or business units.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at senior leadership level.
• Commercial awareness and experience supporting business growth through bids, proposals and customer engagement.
• A passion for innovation and an interest in the opportunities presented by AI-enabled engineering practices.
