Health, Safety & Compliance Administrator

About the Role
A reputable company in Halesowen are seeking a highly organised and proactive Health & Safety Administrator to join a growing and professional organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with strong attention to detail and a passion for compliance, health & safety, and training coordination.
Working closely with the Health & Safety and Compliance teams, you will play a key role in maintaining essential records, supporting audits, monitoring training requirements, and ensuring company systems remain accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Systems Administration
- Maintain health & safety records, registers, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor equipment inspection and testing schedules, ensuring records remain current.
- Track employee training and competency records, identifying upcoming and expired certifications.
- Support the administration of industry-recognised qualifications and training programmes.
- Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work documentation for review and approval.
- Act as the first point of contact for compliance and non-conformance reports, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.
- Track audit findings and support the completion of corrective actions.
Administrative Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to management and operational teams.
- Manage correspondence, emails, documents, spreadsheets, and filing systems.
- Produce reports and maintain accurate records across multiple company systems.
- Support ongoing business improvement and compliance initiatives.
Communication
- Handle incoming enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Liaise with employees, managers, customers, and external training providers.
- Maintain effective communication across departments to ensure compliance requirements are met.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in an administrative or compliance-focused role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A positive, proactive, and self-motivated approach.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working within Health & Safety, Compliance, Quality, or Training Administration.
- Knowledge of audits, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
- IOSH certification or a willingness to work towards a recognised Health & Safety qualification.
