IT Digital Governance Manager

Birmingham | Hybrid Working
6-Month Contract
Up to £350 per day (Inside IR35)

We are seeking a IT Digital Governance Manager to join a leading organisation serving Birmingham and the wider West Midlands region.

This is a key role focused on shaping digital governance, managing digital access platforms, and ensuring compliance with information governance and data security standards. You will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation, supporting strategic decision-making, and establishing governance frameworks across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities of the IT Digital Governance Manager

• Lead the establishment and direction of the Digital & Data Board, ensuring effective governance and oversight.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and deliver the Digital Doorway programme.
• Support the development and implementation of IT policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate Design Authority activities to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Manage and oversee digital front-door access platforms and services.
• Ensure compliance with information governance, cyber security, and data protection frameworks.
• Provide strategic input into system architecture and technology decision-making.

Essential Experience for the IT Digital Governance Manager

• Proven stakeholder management experience across multiple business areas.
• Previous experience as an IT Project Manager, Programme Manager, or Digital Transformation Manager.
• Experience working within Agile and/or PRINCE2 environments.
• Strong knowledge of information governance, data security, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience contributing to technology strategy and system architecture decisions.
• Excellent communication and governance leadership skills.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working within a Local Authority, Public Sector, or Government organisation.
