We, Academics, are looking for suitable candidates to support as Teaching Assistants for a number of our reputable schools in the Birmingham, B14 area and surrounding areas. This Teaching Assistant opportunity starts ASAP and is full-time role.

Location: Kings Heath, B14

As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant your main responsibilities will consist of:

• Not only supporting pupils educational development but also managing and supporting the classroom alongside the designated teacher
• Creating a positive and engaging atmosphere in the classroom
• Providing tailored assistance for SEND pupils
• Monitoring students and reporting to designated teacher when needed
• De-escalating behavioural conflicts and recognising good behaviour in accordance with the schools policies

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
• Relevant qualifications or experience
• Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed
• Confidence and flexibility in working with Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 & Year 6
