Job Description:

A Birmingham-based precision engineering company specialising in the manufacture of precision turned parts on a subcontract basis. Operating from a refurbished factory in the heart of the industrial Midlands, we run a large number of CNC turning and conventional bar turning machines to produce high-quality components for customers across the UK.

As a leading Midlands machinist, they offers extensive capabilities in both sliding head CNC turning and fixed head machining, delivering cost-effective precision-engineered parts to a wide range of industries nationwide.

The Role

Looking for an experienced CNC Turner Programmer to join our growing team. This role is ideally suited to a skilled engineering professional with a strong background in CNC turning within a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines while ensuring components are manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience working as a CNC Turner Programmer within the engineering and manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of CNC turning processes.
• Experience using Fanuc controls.
• Star/Lynx machinary familiarity
• Ability to programme using G-Code and M-Code.
• Good understanding of a range of engineering materials including:
  • Carbon steel
  • Stainless steel
  • Plastics
  • Other commonly used engineering materials
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.

Working Hours

Morning Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm
• Friday: 7:00am - 12:00pm (Early Finish)
