Salary: Up to £42,000 Depending on Experience

Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 17:00

THE ROLE
As an Experienced Prepper / Painter, you will be responsible for preparing and painting accident-damaged vehicles to a consistently high standard. You'll work closely with the wider bodyshop team to ensure vehicles are completed efficiently, safely and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
·Prepare vehicles and panels for painting, including sanding, filling, masking and priming
·Carry out paint application and refinishing to a high professional standard
·Complete colour matching, blending and polishing where required
·Inspect finished work and rectify any imperfections to ensure a quality finish
·Work closely with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians and Workshop Controllers
·Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean, safe and professional condition
·Follow manufacturer repair methods, bodyshop quality standards and Health & Safety procedures
·Complete repairs within agreed timescales while maintaining excellent workmanship

ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced and quality-focused Prepper / Painter who takes pride in their work and can consistently deliver high-quality vehicle repairs.

·Proven experience as a Prepper, Painter, Paint Technician or similar within an automotive bodyshop

·Strong knowledge of vehicle preparation and paint application techniques
·Experience with sanding, filling, masking, priming and panel preparation
·Knowledge of colour matching, blending and refinishing techniques
·Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
·Ability to work efficiently within a busy accident repair environment
·Able to work to deadlines and agreed production times
·Strong team player with a professional and positive attitude
·IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous but not essential
·Full UK Driving Licence preferred
