Job opportunity: Reception Teacher

Job Type: Temporary part-time at first but can develop into a full-time long-term role for the right candidate

Location: Sandwell, B69

School Type: Primary School

Start Date: ASAP

We, Academics, are looking for a qualified reception teacher to support one of our highly esteemed schools in the B69 area. The successful candidate will already posses a QTS and will ideally have prior experience in a Reception classroom.

Key responsibilities of a Reception Teacher include:

• Provide and encourage a safe and inclusive environment for pupils
• Plan and deliver quality lessons relevant to the national curriculum and tailored to the needs of Reception pupils
• Ensure that teaching and lesson plans are adaptable for children with SEND
• Work in collaboration with a range of individuals, including colleagues and parents, to ensure the best outcomes for pupils

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A great relevant understanding of the Foundation Stage 2 curriculum
• Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
• Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed
