Sales Ledger Clerk
Location: Redditch
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000
Hours: Full Time
 
Are you an experienced Sales Ledger professional who enjoys working with data, reports, and finance systems? We're looking for a detail oriented Sales Ledger Clerk to join a growing finance team, where the focus is on maintaining accurate financial records, producing meaningful reports, and supporting month end processes.

This role would suit someone with strong Excel skills and experience using accounting systems, ideally Sage, who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the sales ledger function.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining and reconciling the sales ledger.
• Posting journals, accruals, and other accounting adjustments.
• Running and analysing reports to support business decision making.
• Producing regular sales ledger and debtor reporting.
• Assisting with month end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Managing customer account queries and resolving discrepancies.
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial information.
• Supporting continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting.

About You

• Previous experience within a Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable, or Finance Assistant role.
• Confident user of Excel, including formulas, lookups, and reporting functions.
• Experience using accounting software, ideally Sage.
• Comfortable posting journals and accruals.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Ability to analyse data and produce accurate financial reports.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Unlike a traditional Sales Ledger position focused on managing large debt books and extensive credit control activity, this opportunity is centred on system accuracy, reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
