Service Technician – Temporary Contract

Birmingham | 2–3 Month Contract | Immediate Start | Urgent Requirement

Are you a practical and technically minded Service Technician, Maintenance Engineer or Installation Technician looking for an immediate temporary opportunity?

We are urgently recruiting for a Service Technician to support a major customer site in the Birmingham area on an initial 2–3 month temporary contract.

Full product training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong practical background who is confident using IT and technical software.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out software upgrades and commissioning activities on an electronic water control system at a major customer site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out software upgrades and commissioning activities
• Following technical procedures and instructions accurately
• Using digital tools and software-based systems
• Identifying and resolving basic technical issues
• Working professionally on a major customer site
• Communicating effectively with customers and colleagues
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required standard

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience in a service, maintenance, installation or similar technical role
• Good IT skills and confidence using software-based tools
• Strong practical and problem-solving abilities
• Plumbing, mechanical or building services experience would be advantageous
• Good communication skills and a professional approach
• The ability to work confidently on a large customer site
• A CSCS card
• A DBS check, or willingness to obtain one
