Location: Gloucestershire initially, with future projects predominantly across the Midlands
Salary: Up to £65,000 + package

The Opportunity

We are currently working on behalf of a well-established regional construction contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager / Senior Site Manager on a permanent basis.

Our client has built an excellent reputation across the Midlands, with a strong forward order book and a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial projects. Due to continued growth and an expanding workload, they are looking to strengthen their delivery team with an experienced site professional.

The successful candidate will initially be based on a project in Gloucestershire before moving onto projects predominantly across the Midlands, including areas such as Bromsgrove, Redditch, Kidderminster and Halesowen.

The Role

As Site Manager / Senior Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing the day-to-day running of the construction site.
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to specification.
• Monitoring progress against the construction programme.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Managing quality and ensuring works meet the required standards.
• Working closely with the Contracts Manager, Project Manager and wider project team.
• Attending site meetings and providing regular progress updates.
• Managing and resolving site-based issues effectively.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Supporting and mentoring members of the site team where appropriate.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager or Senior Site Manager with a proven background in construction.

Essential:

• Previous experience working as a Site Manager on a permanent basis.
• Proven experience managing construction projects from start to completion.
• Experience within residential and/or commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, health & safety and quality management.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of a project.
• A genuine interest in developing your career within a growing business.

Candidates currently working as Site Managers who are ready to step up to Senior Site Manager level will also be considered.
