Trainee Recruitment Consultant

Salary: Minimum wage plus commission

Location: Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham

Working Hours: 8am – 5pm, with a 4.30pm finish on a Friday

Red Rock Consultants are looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team in Birmingham.

You don't need previous recruitment experience - we're open to candidates from all backgrounds. However, a background in sales, business development, customer service, retail, hospitality or another target-driven environment would be a great advantage.

This is a sales-focused role, so if you enjoy picking up the phone, building relationships, winning new business and working towards targets, this could be a great opportunity to build a career in recruitment.

THE ROLE

• Making outbound calls to prospective clients and developing new business opportunities
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and candidates
• Identifying new business opportunities and generating leads
• Speaking with businesses to understand their recruitment requirements
• Winning new vacancies and developing existing client accounts
• Advertising vacancies and sourcing suitable candidates
• Managing candidates through the recruitment process
• Negotiating and closing deals
• Working towards individual and team targets
• Developing your knowledge of recruitment, sales and business development

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Confident, bubbly and outgoing personality
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport
• Comfortable speaking to people on the phone
• Driven, ambitious and motivated by achieving results
• Resilient and able to handle rejection
• A genuine interest in sales and business development
• Previous sales or customer-facing experience would be beneficial, but is not essential
• Recruitment experience is not required - full training will be provided
