Job opportunity: Year 1 Teacher

We, Academics, are looking for a qualified teacher to support a range of our schools located in the B43 area. This is great opportunity for individuals looking to gain more experience in the classroom. The successful candidate will already posses a QTS and will ideally have prior experience in a year 1 classroom.

Key responsibilities of a Year 1 Teacher include:

• Provide and encourage a safe and inclusive environment for pupils
• Plan and deliver quality lessons relevant to the national curriculum and tailored to the needs of year 1 pupils
• Ensure that teaching and lesson plans are adaptable for children with SEND
• Work in collaboration with a range of individuals, including colleagues and parents, to ensure the best outcomes for pupils

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A great relevant understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
• Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed
