Job Description:

We are recruiting a Customer Account Manager to join a well-established and successful company based in Wednesbury, with over 40 years of experience within their industry.

The business works closely with its customers to help them build, expand and maintain their operations, providing tailored, future-focused solutions to meet their requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts, finance administration or customer account professional to join an established team. The role will involve managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring accurate invoicing and account administration, maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting the wider sales, accounts and operations functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a portfolio of customer accounts.
  
  
• Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers.
  
  
• Process customer orders, invoices and related account documentation.
  
  
• Monitor outstanding payments and provide support with credit control activities.
  
  
• Respond to customer queries relating to accounts, invoices and payments.
  
  
• Ensure customer and account records are accurate and kept up to date.
  
  
• Liaise with customers and internal departments to resolve queries efficiently.
  
  
• Work closely with the Sales, Accounts and Operations teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.
  
  
• Assist with resolving account discrepancies and customer issues.
  
  
• Provide general accounts administration and office support as required.
  
  
• Ensure all account information and documentation is maintained accurately and efficiently.
  
  

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within an accounts, finance administration, sales administration or customer account management role.

You will have:

• Good understanding of accounts administration and invoicing processes.
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
  
  
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  
  
• Confidence dealing with customers and resolving account queries.
  
  
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
  
  
• Good IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office.
  
  
• Previous experience using an accounting, ERP or CRM system would be advantageous.
