Sales Director – Healthcare & Independent Living

National / Home Based
£55,000–£65,000 + 22% Bonus + Company Car + Private Healthcare

Trusted Recruiter is recruiting for a major international manufacturer and established healthcare brand within the Healthcare, Accessibility and Independent Living market.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director, Head of Sales, National Sales Manager or senior Sales Manager to lead an established national team of 6 Area Sales Managers and deliver an ambitious UK growth strategy.

This is a hands-on sales leadership role within a specialist, consultative and specification-led healthcare market. You will drive growth across Local Authorities, Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG), Occupational Therapists, healthcare professionals, specialist distributors and home adaptation providers.

The Role

• Lead, motivate and develop a national team of 6 Area Sales Managers
• Deliver sales growth and increase UK market share
• Develop and implement national sales strategy
• Set and manage sales targets, KPIs and performance objectives
• Coach and develop an experienced, established sales team
• Identify under-developed territories and new growth opportunities
• Manage selected national/key accounts and distribution partners
• Develop relationships with OTs, Local Authorities, Technical Officers, distributors and adaptation companies
• Work closely with Marketing on commercial campaigns and market development
• Analyse sales performance, competitor activity and market trends
• Present strategy and performance to senior leadership
• Support future recruitment and expansion of the sales team

Experience Required

You will ideally be an experienced Sales Director, Head of Sales, National Sales Manager or Sales Manager with a strong track record of leading and developing sales teams.

We will also consider an ambitious Sales Manager or Sales Team Leader ready to step into a national Sales Director position.

Previous people-management experience is essential.

Experience within any of the following would be particularly relevant:

Healthcare | Medical Devices | Assistive Technology | Mobility | Rehabilitation | Independent Living | Accessibility | Home Adaptations | Community Equipment | NHS | Local Authorities

Experience selling or specifying products through Occupational Therapists, NHS/community healthcare, Local Authorities, DFG-funded adaptations, specialist distributors or adaptation providers would be highly advantageous.
