Telesales Manager

Location: Birmingham
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £42,500 Basic Salary | £50,000 OTE

Our client, a well-established and highly successful business within the home improvement sector, is looking to appoint an experienced Telesales Manager to lead and develop their Birmingham-based telesales team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales leader who enjoys coaching people, driving performance and creating a positive, results-focused culture. You'll be responsible for managing a team dedicated to converting high-quality enquiries into appointments for a nationwide field sales team, while continuously improving processes, quality and overall performance.

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you'll have genuine influence over the direction of the department and play a key role in supporting the company's continued growth.

The Role

As Telesales Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of a team of six telesales executives, ensuring they consistently deliver outstanding customer interactions while achieving ambitious appointment and conversion targets.

You'll be responsible for developing your team, monitoring performance, introducing new initiatives and ensuring every opportunity is handled professionally and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate a team of telesales professionals to achieve and exceed agreed KPIs and business objectives.
• Create a high-performance culture through regular coaching, mentoring and performance management.
• Recruit, induct and develop new team members while supporting the ongoing development of existing colleagues.
• Introduce new ideas and initiatives to improve conversion rates, productivity and customer engagement.
• Monitor team performance through reporting, call quality reviews and KPI analysis.
• Ensure appointments generated for the nationwide design consultants are thoroughly qualified and meet agreed quality standards.
• Effectively manage workloads, staffing levels and daily priorities to maximise team performance.
• Work closely with senior management to identify opportunities for operational improvements and business growth.
• Maintain exceptional customer service standards across every customer interaction.

About You

We're looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded leader who enjoys getting the very best from people and has a passion for delivering measurable results.

You'll ideally have:

• At least three years' experience working within a telesales environment.
• A minimum of five years' experience managing and developing successful sales teams.
• A proven history of achieving and exceeding sales targets and performance objectives.
• Strong coaching, mentoring and leadership skills.
• Experience implementing performance improvement strategies and driving operational efficiencies.
• The ability to perform effectively within a fast-moving sales environment.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using CRM systems, with Salesforce knowledge being advantageous.
