Job Description:

Are you a Key Account Manager with experience in technical or engineering product sales? Do you have the drive to build strong customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities? If so, we want to hear from you.
 
This is your chance to join an established engineering distribution business, supplying bearings, components and technical products to a wide range of industries. You will play a key role in managing and growing existing accounts while identifying and winning new business opportunities.
 
As a Key Account Manager, you will work closely with colleagues across the business to process orders, manage customer relationships, and support wider sales and growth objectives.
 
Your responsibilities as a Key Account Manager:
 

• Manage and grow key customer accounts, including regular visits, calls, and business reviews.
• Process customer orders and quotes efficiently, from enquiry through to completion.
• Identify and develop new business leads, progressing them independently or with support from the wider sales team.
• Upsell and cross-sell products that complement customer needs, prioritising stock availability before sourcing externally.
• Handle day-to-day administration, including invoicing, payments, credits and returns.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and support company promotions, compliance, and quality standards.

 
 Your current experience which will help you as a Key Account Manager:
 

• Strong product knowledge with the ability to source information quickly from internal and external sources.
• Excellent telephone manner, confident handling objections and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
• Proven administrative skills, including quoting, order processing, stock control and returns.
• A proactive, flexible approach, comfortable supporting colleagues and covering other tasks as needed.
• Strong relationship building skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Background in technical, engineering, or industrial product sales preferred.
