Job Description:

Building a sales function from the ground up is very different from inheriting an established desk. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the process, develop new accounts and directly influence commercial growth. As Sales Manager, you’ll take ownership of proactive business development for an established, profitable operation with the backing and investment to grow.

This is a hands-on opportunity where you’ll create an outbound pipeline, develop relationships with contractors, installers and other trade customers, and help broaden the product mix being sold. Initially, the focus is firmly on winning and developing business yourself, with the longer-term opportunity to help build and lead a small team as volumes increase.

Your responsibilities as Sales Manager

• Build and manage an outbound pipeline, generating opportunities through telephone, video and face-to-face customer engagement
• Develop new relationships with project managers, contractors, installers and other customers operating across HVAC and related markets
• Take ownership of CRM and pipeline tools, creating greater structure, visibility and consistency across business development activity
• Develop existing key accounts and manufacturer relationships while identifying opportunities for new business, cross-selling and additional product lines
• Set, track and report on targets and pipeline progress, providing clear commercial visibility to senior management
• Support the future development of a small sales team, contributing to its structure, recruitment and processes as business volumes grow

What we’re looking for in a Sales Manager

• Proven experience in proactive, target-driven sales or business development, ideally within HVAC, ductwork, building products, trade supplies or industrial distribution
• Experience developing outbound pipelines, opening new accounts and managing opportunities through a structured CRM process
• Strong commercial experience dealing with technical or trade customers, including contractors, installers or manufacturers
• Confidence using telephone, video and face-to-face meetings to develop and maintain customer relationships
• Full UK driving licence, with the ability to travel to customer sites when required

Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday. Office-based during training and probation, with hybrid working available thereafter.
